This policy explains what personal data Pact & Partners collects through pactandpartners.com and in the course of its executive search work, why we collect it, who we share it with and what rights you have. It applies to company representatives who contact us, to candidates we approach or who send us their résumé, and to visitors of this website.

Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is Pact & Partners, LLC, 3470 E Coast Ave, Miami, FL 33137, United States ("Pact & Partners", "we", "us"). We also have an office at 50 Milk Street, Boston, MA 02109, United States.

What we collect and why

When you contact us or request a meeting

Our contact forms ask for your name, company, work email address and your message. Our US Leadership Entry Plan form also asks for your company's home country, the role you are hiring for, the US cities you are considering and your timing. We also record the language of the page, the page you submitted the form from and, if you arrived through an advertisement or a tagged link, the campaign parameters of that link.

We use this information to answer your request, to prepare and follow up on a possible engagement, and to understand which of our campaigns bring us business contacts. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in responding to and developing business relationships, and the steps you ask us to take before a contract.

When you book a meeting through the scheduling tool on our site, you enter your details directly with Calendly, which shares the booking with us.

When you are a candidate

Our business is to identify and present senior executives to client companies. When you send us your résumé (for example to cv@pactandpartners.com), when we identify you from public professional sources such as LinkedIn, or when someone recommends you, we may hold your contact details, your career history, education, skills, languages, compensation expectations and our notes from our conversations with you.

We use this information to assess your profile against the searches we run, to contact you about opportunities and, with your agreement, to present you to a client company. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running executive searches, and your consent where we present your application to a client. We do not sell candidate data.

When you browse this website

Our hosting provider processes technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested) to deliver the site and keep it secure. We also measure the audience of the site and the results of our advertising, as described in the next section.

Cookies, measurement and advertising

We use the following tools on this website:

• Essential cookies: they remember your language, your region and your cookie choice. They do not require consent.
• Vercel Web Analytics: anonymous visit statistics, without cookies.
• Google Analytics 4: audience measurement. It runs in Google Consent Mode: where your consent is required and you have not given it, Google does not set analytics or advertising cookies.
• OpenAI advertising measurement: when you have accepted cookies, we tell OpenAI that a contact request or a meeting booking resulted from one of our ChatGPT advertisements. For this we send OpenAI an event identifier, the page address, your IP address, your browser's user agent, the advertising identifiers set by OpenAI and, for contact requests, your email address in irreversibly hashed form (SHA-256). We never send your name or your message.
• Calendly: the meeting booking tool, which sets its own cookies when it loads.

Visitors from the European Union, the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland are asked for their consent before any advertising or analytics cookie is used, and may refuse. Visitors from other regions are measured by default. Wherever you are, you can change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. Whatever your region, we keep an anonymous record of each contact request and meeting booking (date, page, language and campaign parameters, without any name, email, IP address or browser identifier) so that we can count our conversions.

Who we share your data with

We share your data only with the following recipients, and only to the extent necessary:

• Client companies: candidate information, only when we present you for a position and after discussing it with you.
• Service providers acting on our behalf: Vercel (website hosting), Supabase (database), Brevo (sending of emails), Calendly (meeting scheduling), Google (audience measurement) and OpenAI (advertising measurement, as described above).
• Authorities: where the law requires it.

We do not sell your personal data and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising beyond the advertising measurement described above.

International transfers

Pact & Partners is based in the United States and our service providers may process data in the United States or elsewhere. When data from the European Union, the United Kingdom or Switzerland is transferred, we rely on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework where the recipient is certified, or on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.

How long we keep your data

• Business contacts and contact requests: 3 years after our last exchange.
• Candidate files: 2 years after our last exchange, after which we ask whether you wish us to keep your profile.
• Anonymous conversion records: 25 months.
• Cookies: up to 180 days for your cookie choice, 30 days for campaign parameters; third-party cookies follow the durations set by their providers.

Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access your data, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to or restrict its use, to receive it in a portable format, and to withdraw your consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Residents of certain US states have equivalent rights to know, correct and delete their personal data, and to opt out of its sale or sharing, which we do not do.

To exercise these rights, write to contact@pactandpartners.com. We answer within one month. We will not treat you differently because you exercised your rights.

If you are in the European Union, you can also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in France, the CNIL: www.cnil.fr).

Security

We protect your data with access restricted to the people who need it, encrypted connections and providers that apply recognised security standards. No system is entirely secure, and we will inform you and the competent authorities of any breach as the law requires.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy to reflect changes in our practices or in the law. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last changed.
